Hello,

a bit about me:

I'm a 10th Grader  attending Georgia Connections Academy and dual enrolled student at Gwinnett Technical College with a strong passion for helping more girls get into STEM. I aspire to become a Mechatronics Engineers.

How I got into STEAM

When I was seven years old I attended a STEM expo at the World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. There I came across a Georgia Tech table where they taught me how to program a lego alligator to open and close it's mouth. I remember thinking that it was just the coolest thing in the world, and I told my mom, "this is what I want to do." "Ok let's move on to the next table," she replied. However, despite being so young I knew that's what I wanted to do and insisted, "No, THIS is what I want to do!" After that my mom signed me up for small coding classes at Georgia Tech for elementary and middle school students. There I learned how to code and build lego NXT and EV3 robots. And eventually in 2012 I convinced my mom to start and couch the RoboChicks robotics team.
